R.I.P. America’s Oldest Teenager; Dick Clark.

November 30, 1929 – April 18, 2012

With tears in our eyes, we fight the urge to say goodbye to a man who’s changed this industry for the better. Dick Clark impacted the careers of many of our favorite artists, such a Kelly Clarkson, without many of us knowing. Dick Clark Productions debuted some of our favorite music videos, like Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You). But most of all, Dick Clark was well known for all the changes, and being the true heart of the Entertainment Industry around the world.

He had a heart of gold. And as I write this, I fight back the tears I find are welding in my eyes, for though many of us never got to know or meet Dick Clark, we all felt personally close to him. That was his personality, he had a special place in all of our homes. Especially when it came to New Years Eve, as well as award shows. And nothing will ever compare, nor take away, all the special moments, those precious memories, all the laughs, the smiles, and the happy tears he gave us all.

To say you will be missed Mr. Clark, will forever be the biggest understatement the world has seen.

Thank you, thank you for everything you’ve not only brought to this industry, but to the world. You’ve changed us for the greater good.

You were a true legend. And personally, my hero.

And though we know you would not want us to be filled with sorrow, but to celebrate you in a such a way you would, one cannot help but feel the emptiness where your presence once stood in all of our hearts.

Rest In Peace Mr. Dick Clark.

May your memory carry on in the hearts of us all, and forever remind us that love shown in any way, will always be beautiful, and that even when times become hardest, there will always be something worth celebrating. ♥

What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger) Official Music Video!!!

“For an actual, unequivocal highlight, you would have to go to Kelly Clarkson’s radical rethink of her own “Mr. Know-It-All.” Jamming her curves into a tight, floor-length red dress and donning a vintage fishtail hairdo, it at first appeared as if Clarkson might be “appearing in the role of Adele this evening,” as they like to say in the theater.

And that impression didn’t entirely go away, as Clarkson sang in more of an R&B style than usual, though the arrangement bore little resemblance to anything Clarkson or Adele would usually do. Her recent single had been turned into a sort of nostalgic jump-blues number, complete with a horn section. The newsboy extras surrounding her were a little, well, Newsies, as many Twitterers pointed out. But “Mr. Know-It-All” actually sounded better in this stylistically wild remake than it did on record, and Clarkson briefly threatened to class up the joint… even if it was clear this inexplicable outbreak of live singing could never last.”
